The Arts Effect All-Girl Ensemble 

WHAT IS THE ARTS EFFECT ALL-GIRL ENSEMBLE? 

The Arts Effect All-Girl Ensemble is a professional tween/teen performing arts company. 

Elite young artists will work as a team to strengthen acting technique, develop creative writing skills, explore trans-media production, and produce exciting and accessible arts-based projects that inspire their peers, challenge communities, and raise awareness!   

Ensemble Members are selected by audition/interview.  Upon acceptance, members are guaranteed a role in all productions with The Arts Effect All-Girl Ensemble.  There will be a minimum of one production/project every semester.  Members will help to choose future shows, develop new projects, and work on productions in a technical capacity.  Members of the company will play an integral role in marketing and publicity, fundraising and production.  Company members may also be chosen to serve as Assistant Directors, Stage Managers and Associate Choreographers.  

COMMITMENT  

The commitment for The Arts Effect All-Girl Ensemble is approximately 12-15 weeks per semester.  Rehearsals are 1-3 days/wk (Thurs. Sat., Sun.), 2-4 hrs/rehearsal, depending on the projects scheduled within the semester.  The Arts Effect reserves the right to replace performer should she miss more than 3 rehearsals.  Rehearsals are a priority and if a member misses more than those stated on her conflict sheet, her continuation in the production will be at the discretion of the Producer.  Rehearsals are held in Manhattan @ 440 Studios, 440 Lafayette Street.  Members may be required to miss a maximum of 2 school days per semester.   

MEMBERSHIP DUES 

While there is no fee to audition, members must pay participation dues per semester.  Dues will be set on a semester-by-semester basis. Membership dues aid in covering costs of production.
